Kathleen:
We purchased the Google appliance and have had rgreat, seamless service
and we can control the indexing and customization of the search pages.

It cost around $5000 and has been worth every penny. We thought it was
unprofessional to be using a free search tool. It seems like a
worthwhile investment for the institution and IST could/would manage the
device.
