PDFs-creating from multiple files

Hi there,

What's the latest on creating pdfs from multiple sources. As in: a professor
sends me a pdf of her report and I create a unique cover for it as a pdf and
need to put the two together as one combined pdf. Have been limping along
via workarounds using the distiller option in classic pagemaker, exporting
as pdf and then inserting one document into another, but my distiller 4 is
balking at viewing newer pdfs. Willing to use workaround or new software
(sigh). Am using Mac OsX.

Thanks all.
