Hi Debra,
We're using it sparingly on the Graduate Division site. There's a small homepage animation with a script that detects if the user has the Flash plugin, if they don't, they get a static gif in its place...check out the source to borrow it: www.grad.berkeley.edu
Also, there's a small pop-up flash with a scroll feature: http://www.grad.berkeley.edu/new_students/ see the "Welcome message from the Dean".

Subject: [Webnet] Spiffing up UC websites?
Is anyone using Flash or other higher-end spiffy stuff on their websites here at UC? We're looking into doing it--in limited ways--and would love to see examples of on-campus use.
Thanks.
D.
