My experience is similar to Greg's. We ordered a block of Windows XP and
Office XP licenses this summer, and the attached PDF included the codes.
(Nothing for CALs though?). Subsequent small orders did not include codes.
I am working on the assumption that we have one assigned code per product,
and that is the way we are installing licences. I do not install the
product until the order has been acknowledged by TRC.
I track the number purchased and the number installed, which is a chore,
but it beats juggling unique OEM licence codes even in our small
environment.
It is a lunatic system - Microsoft - the vendor (TRC) - the recipient -
the license holder (UCOP) - and none of us have the complete picture.
