WHAT: Limited Resources SIG meeting
WHEN: Tues. Oct. 23, 9-10 am
WHERE: 3105 Tolman (Beach Room in Psych)
WHO: campus Web managers
TOPIC: intro to Web databases

ABSTRACT: This will be another introduction to databases, by Kurt True,
programmer at the
School of Public Health's Dean's office. He'll be covering the basics of
Web database systems using freeware: Perl scripting, mySQL database
connectivity, Linux operating system, Apache Web server software. It'll
be at the usual 9-10 am time slot, at the usual place in 3105 Tolman, so
I hope more of the regulars can make this session. Kurt is bringing his
own laptop, so that shouldn't be an issue this time.
