Thursday, September 13, 10:00 a.m. to noon, 60 Barrows Hall

The confusion over Microsoft's new licensing arrangements has
caused your Micronet co-coordinators to change our meeting plans slightly
and begin the fall with a meeting devoted, at least in large part, to MS
licensing. See Bob Callaway's recent post to the above lists for more details.

The available time and place for this meeting will be 10:00 a.m.
to noon in 60 Barrows on Thursday, September 13.

Microsoft will be represented by Mark Ciabattari. We expect to
have some campus people address us as well. If you think you should be one
of those people, please let us know promptly.

As Bob Callaway has warned, there may be trouble ahead if we don't
plan properly for MS licensing changes, and that actions based on the
changes might be necessary as soon as September 21.

Your new coordinators met with former coordinators over the
summer, and based on that meeting, we will attempt to furnish you with a
tentative schedule of meetings and topics for the entire year by later this
month. In advance of each meeting we will solicit questions and topics for
our speakers to address. Please consider this our first solicitation, and
email any of us with questions for Mark Ciabattari or campus speakers as
soon as possible. Thanks.
