I'm not familiar with how Deep Freeze does its magic, but you may
consider unplugging the machine and then restarting it in FireWire
target disk mode (if available for your model) by holding down the "T"
key at startup. The whole computer will then behave as a passive
external drive.

If the last session's work is stored on the disk, then you might be
able to read the data from wherever Deep Freeze stores it.

Alternatively, you could unplug the machine, extract the drive, and
install it in an external case.
