Strictly on the point of Gold Coeverage on previous "TSW Dell Specials"
vs. new UCOP-Dell configurations:
Prior to this new UCOP-Dell agreement TSW's purchasing team worked one
on one with Dell's inside sales reps to create custom configurations on
special quotes at the lowest pricing available at the time of
configuration. Those would then be made available to all customers as
TSW's Dell specials. Those machines all included Gold Support because
they were specifically configured with Dell to have that included in the
quote.
Unfortunately, the new UCOP-Dell agreement prohibits TSW from offering
those types of specials to Departments. Those types of specials still
continue to be offered on a more limited scale to individuals (as they
are not covered under the agreement). Configurations for the current
quotes on the UCOP Dell Premier page may or may not include Gold Support
and/or other coverage types. Best to double check!
All the best,
- Gabriel
