   To expand slightly on that, that may refer to sending a message to:

listname-request_at_lists.berkeley.edu

(where "listname" is the name of the mailing list)

   In that message, you'd put the command "who" (without the quotes)
into *either* the subject line or body of the message.

   If you've protected the subscription list by restricting who can
view it (via Manage Your Mailing Lists -> (listname) ->
Administration, "Private Roster" setting, in CalMail's web-based
interface to Mailman, you'll need instead to put the command:

who listpassword

into either the subject line or body, where "listpassword" is the
password for that list.
