There's a little lever underneath the cd rom drive along the side of the
laptop. Push that lever to the back of the laptop. A metal tab will pop
out. Pull the tab away from the laptop and the cdrom will pull out with
it. Take the cd rom out and insert the battery all the way into the
laptop. Push the tab back into the laptop.
