Summary of August 21, 2007 Micronet Meeting:
Rich Lau, Director of Compensation, presented an overview of Career
Compass. Karen Berardi and Julie Kolar addressed questions about IT
classifications. They have collated all the questions about Career
Compass that were emailed beforehand and have added a few from the
meeting itself. This information will be available on the Micronet
website (http://micronet.berkeley.edu/) and is also attached here as a pdf.
In addition Karen Berardi has agreed to present examples of job
mapping at the next Micronet meeting on Tuesday, September
18. Besides this presentation there are many workshops
scheduled. This schedule will be available on the Micronet website
and is included here as a pdf attachment. This attachment includes a
list of the technical folks who participated in the development of
each IT job family. Please do not direct questions to these
individual subject matter experts. Rather direct questions to
<mailto:compdesk_at_berkeley.edu>compdesk_at_berkeley.edu and Karen will
route inquiries to the SMEs.
