sharing software licenses

Hello:
the screen reader we are using in the lab (Jaws) is installed over the
network. I have the product server installed on my lap server and have the
client installed on all the lab computers. One of the people in the DFP
office needs to have a client installed on their desktop. As well I have a
shared folder on my server I would like to have some of the people over in
the main office have access to. I am located in Moffett Library under the
91 subnet and the main office is over in Caesar Chavez in the 249 subnet.
Any ideas as to how I could give my coworker the access he needs to the
license server and my file share. I'm thinking I should join them to active
directory but will that be enough. Is there potentially a firewall between
me and their and if so could I tell someone which ports need to be opened
for the license server. This would allow my coworker to use a better
screenwriter on our new online system.
