Ghost with USB can be tricky.
Many versions of Ghost will work with a USB hard drive, but not
through a USB hub. Unfortunately, most motherboards, and some USB
cards, are implemented with an internal hub. So ghost can't work.
The Ghost subculture knows of work-arounds using Japanese drivers,
etc, but I don't recommend them. Buy Acronis Trueimage for $40 and
live happily ever after. After installing it you can generate a bootable CD.
That said, I still like Ghost for imaging to a local hard drive.
