Hi Paul,

This is a shameless plug, but we centrally support Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
and Postgres.

Even if that isn't the route you'd like to go, the IST DBA group is always
interested in discussing and sharing information on deployment scenarios.
We're not using replication currently with SQL Server, but we are using
clustering. We're looking at mirroring for our SQL 2005 environment. I'll
give you a ring tomorrow, and we can see what comes of it.

Regards,

Paul Rivers

Subject: [Micronet] MS SQL training resources for staff?

Hi, I've looked at the staff training resources in ICE, but their
database repertoire seems limited to Access & FileMaker. I'm looking for
a course that covers MS SQL administrative tasks such as setting up
replication for backup & load balancing. (If anyone wants to volunteer
to field some specific questions about Transactional publication, feel
free to contact me directly.)

TIA, PM
