Hi Folks,
I have a visitor who is trying to remote desktop to his UC Davis
workstation. To connect to UC Davis, we first need to connect through VPN
and then use remote desktop. We can successully connect to econ.ucdavis.edu
via creating a VPN connection using the windows wizard. Once connected via
VPN, the user was able to log on using remote desktop to his Davis computer
for one time. But once he logged on, he can see his desktop but he can't do
anything (he can't move the mouse, click on anything on the remote
computer). Then somehow his remote desktop connection was broken and he
cannot remote connect back to his davis computer.
Firewall is set to allow connection to the Davis dept/computer address.
The VPN connection still works but remotes desktop connection pulls down the
"blue log on screen" with out the log on box. We can just see the computer
name on the top bar and the rest of the screen is blank.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks,
Amy
