I use Toad quite a bit but do not know that you can do that in the toad SQL
editor.
The way I do what you are attempting is to go into MS Word and use there
search and replace tools which includes special character search and
replace. Then save as a text file and open again with Toad.
You might be able to use Textpad but I am certain Word will do the job.
