Re: FireFox and Blu

You can get any HRMS popup window via Blu to be accepted by Firefox if
you add hrw-vip-prod.berkeley.edu to your list of accepted sites in
Firefox (Tools / Options / Web Features) The reason for this is that
Blu contains a frameset, with HRMS in one of the frames, and the window
that actually launches the popup is HRMS (hrw-vip-prod.berkeley.edu).

Frankly, although you may not like frames or popup windows, the fact of
the matter is that UC Berkeley is using the Peoplesoft Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) system and that we are fairly beholden to the
company's design choices. Where possible our team works hard to provide
workarounds and simplified execution but we can't always make major
changes to the core system.

We also provide Peoplesoft with frequent and vocal input, as do their
other customers. We expect to see the system improve, both from our own
team's work and by the work Peoplesoft is doing on their end. If you
are a Peoplesoft HRMS user and are interested in getting involved with
any of our user groups or product development input groups, you may
email me privately -- we'll involve you in the process to the level that
you desire to participate.

Best,
Bill Allison
Manager, HRMS Technical Team
