The following Microsoft tech support article, discussing
configuration of the XP SP2 firewall, might offer some assistance:

   http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=842242

(See "Programs that may require you to open ports manually" on that page.)

As a related aside, Symantec's retail ("Norton"-branded) firewall
products have built-in firewall rules for Ghost:

   http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/docid/2002012315104725

Although I haven't checked this, it seems likely that the firewall
component of the campus-licensed security product, Symantec Client
Security (SCS) <http://software.berkeley.edu>, would be similarly
pre-configured.
