Just a reminder that Microsoft and CalNetAD support for Windows NT 4.0
Workstation and Windows 2000 SP2 ends on June 30th. The most important
impact for campus is that Microsoft will no longer issue security hotfixes
for these platforms. To comply with the Minimum Security Standards for
Networked Devices <http://security.berkeley.edu:2002/MinStds/> units should
upgrade to Windows 2000 SP3 or newer.

Windows NT 4.0 Server support expires December 31st.

Microsoft will not publicly release security hotfixes for Windows 98,
Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows Millennium Edition. However, customers
may request a security hotfix through On-Demand Security Hotfix support,
which is offered for these products through June 30, 2006. When a request is
received, Microsoft will investigate the issue and try to provide an
appropriate response to the customer.
