You may wish to consider using Windows 2000 Server as your terminal server
solution. The CAL requirements have changed greatly in 2003. With Win2K, all
Windows 2000 Pro and XP clients come with a free Win2K TS CAL whereas Win2K3
requires a separate CAL for each client regardless of the OS type.

Subject: [Micronet] Windows Terminal Server
Aside from the central BFS/Citrix system, is anyone running a department
Terminal Server? I'm thinking of Server 2003 Terminal Services
specifically.
If so, what metrics did you use to determine your hardware vs. the user
base, and were you right? 8-)
Second question is, what are you doing about a Licensing Server? It
appears that a 'private' Licensing Server can be run on any member server
with control over the clients served, provided the server is configured
explicitly. It may even be possible (but not desirable?) to co-host it
with the Terminal Server?
We are thinking of around 20 clients and providing basic Office
applications. It would be running under the Campus Active Directory for
account management.
