Shufei,
Are you sure that the error message was complaining about not
being able to connect to bearmail? Once the client is associated
with an AirBears AP, the captive portal should redirect connections
to one of our Control Servers for authentication... (currently
wireless-gw2.Berkeley.EDU).
The captive portal is not browser specific, but does require SSL.
The upgraded versions of the Operating System now running
the AirBears network actually provides MORE support for mini-
browsers; however we have seen difficulties with certain
devices, and are looking into this.
Shufei asked if anyone else is experiencing problems like this,
and I would certainly like to know as well. While many here on
Micronet may be interested in wireless in general, perhaps it
would be more appropriate to continue this exchange offline, or
on the airbears-wireless list. (airbears-wireless@listlink)
