Does any body know a simple solution for this problem...
a user is complaining that quotation marks don't appear in either Eudora or
Word until after he's typed the next character that would either be framed
or frame the quote mark itself. In other words if he typed this...
"quote" marks
...the second quotation mark would show up after he typed the m in marks.
But if he typed this (and assume he's hit the quote key a second time, but
not the m)...
"quote
with nothing after it, he would not get an enclosed quote.
What I've tried:
1. I thought it might have something to do with smart-quote or auto format
feature in Word, but I turned both these features off and I still got the
same problem. And besides, its doing it in Eudora too.
2. I tried changing the keyboard from US International to just US...still
the same results.
I bet this is something very simple and someone out there has the solution.
Thanks a lot.
