Apologies if I missed something out of the original thread.
The pick-up rollers are also a service part available through an HP
authorized facility. Replacing the rollers would save you some money vs.
the pick-up assembly. (rollers cost around 15 bucks for entire set on a
4050) Service part numbers and information pertaining to all HP printers
is available at their web-site at www.hp.americas.com.
