Recalling a month-old thread...

Our Laserjet 4050N (one big tray) was groaning while printing, and I
determined that the noise was the result of the pick-up rollers slipping
against the top sheet in the paper tray.

When the refurbished pick-up assembly arrived (The Printer Works,
Hayward), it was outfitted with more substantial pick-up rollers than the
originals. Noise gone.
