December 12th Micronet Meeting [reminder]

For those who may have missed last week's announcement, the December
Micronet meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 12th in
60 Barrows Hall.

Eric Chamberlain will have a presentation on Microsoft Windows security
with an emphasis on security topics related to the Berkeley campus
environment. For those who attended the CalNet AD Windows security
presentation in August, Eric will be covering some of those topics and
several new ones as well.

General Windows security best-practices
Security resources on campus
Checklist, how to secure Windows 2000/XP
CalNetAD security
Campus PKI efforts (UCOP, certificates, and smartcards)
Some new security features with Microsoft .NET Server 2003 Questions

Craig Lant will also be covering a number of important policy issues that are
currently in discussion on campus.
