There *may* be one possibility: Griffin's iPort adapter ($59) adds
an external VGA out port, as well as a serial port, to the earliest
(Rev. A and B) iMacs:

Installation of this adapter isn't trivial, however. It apparently
requires at least partial removal of the system board, however, as
