Are there any official recommendations on whether it is a good idea to run personal
firewall software (for Windows machines) -- and if so, what products are good ones?
I'd be interested in hearing your experiences and thoughts. The article
http://www.pcmag.com/article/0,2997,s%253D1498%2526a%253D4536,00.asp
puts in a strong plug for ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/), especially because of its
strong performance on the "LeakTest" (http://grc.com/lt/scoreboard.htm) Anyone vouch for
ZoneAlarm?
(I see that John Broughton mentions ZoneAlarm in a April 2000 article on DSL/cable modem
security: http://istpub.berkeley.edu:4201/bcc/PDF/apr2000.pdf or

Thanks in advance,
