I'm pretty sure you can find Lucent's card at http://www.microwarehouse.com
. At home I use an Apple Airport access point, for cards I have 2 addtron
(prism) cards, a linksys, and a lucent gold. All are able to speak to the
access point with no trouble, though I've had some flakey results trying to
get the linksys to talk to the addtrons in ad-hoc mode when outside of the
range of an access point. I've also used these cards on Wind 9x/2K/NT,
MacOS X, and Linux (2.2 and 2.4 kernels), though my luck with WinCE support
has been troublesome at best, particularly CE 1.0.

When thinking security, if the cost is the same, sure go ahead and get a
gold (128-bit WEP) rather than the silver (40-bit). But don't count on
EITHER to actually hide your data. The WEP protocol is fundamentally flawed
and a very small freely available program called AirSnort (and no doubt a
number of others) can determine the key in a matter of seconds. I recommend
the use of IPsec, SSH, https, and other natively cryptographic protocols be
used when accessing any passworded resources via 802.11.
