We are experiencing a strange phenomena where several Dell Win 98 machines,
logging into an Access 97 database housed on a Dell/Novel 5x server, are
unable to access the database all of a sudden (meaning it was working, but
now is not with no apparent changes to the systems or database).

Sometimes the machines are unable to attached to the database, with a "file
in use" error even when we know the file is, in fact, not in use. Or
sometimes they get a "permissions not granted" message when they have
Novell and Access permissions to access and read the database and network
file in which it is housed.

Further, we occasionally get the blue screen "mpr exe" error message that
requires a reboot -- anyone know what this mpr phrase is pointing to?

We've rechecked the Access 97 security and all is well. When we ran this on
Access 2.0 these problems did not exist. In fact these are new problems and
did not exist until recently even though we converted to 97 during the summer.

Further, with my NT machine (I have admin rights) I don't have any of these
    problems.

Anyone out there who can point us in some direction?
