One of the issues that I have found is that because Filemakerpro is
sometimes installed from a network share, or thinks that it has to connect
to the network, you might get this error.
Also uninstall the antivirus software completely. Disabling it is not
    enough.
Connect the pc to the network ( and change it's sid). Also in task manager
you might not see the program running, but it could be running as a process.
Check and see which process has the most cpu utilization and stop it.
And of course you might have a corrupted file too.
The worst option is to uninstall the program manually. i.e look at the
setup.inf file and delete everything manually, including the registry
    settings.
    Good luck.

Subject: [Micronet] FileMaker Pro 5 uninstall

I'm having considerable trouble removing an installation of Filemaker Pro
5 from an NT 4 machine. The usual Add/Remove programs route generates the
message "Unable to locate/process internal binary resource. Please contact
your software vendor.". I'm still trying to get some sense from Filemaker
    on the subject.

The machine is a Dell 4100, with one unusual feature - the drive is
running an installation prepared on another machine and ghosted in. That's
why I want to uninstall the software - it doesn't belong here. It is not
running on the network at this time, and has not had it's SID changed. The
network MAC address has changed, naturally.

I have tried re-installing the software (on the assumption that the
original install was incomplete), but the setup process complains that the
'uninstallshield' software is running. This is perplexing, as it happens
from a cold boot and nothing shows in the task manager.

The anti-virus software is NAI 4.03, current as of December, and the
problem occurs with it disabled or enabled.

Yes, I am running as local administrator, which is the account used for
    creation.

I have a feeling I'll have to trash the installation and re-install
everything, but I'm hoping someone has a magic incantation or two...
