    netatalk (or a commercial AppleShare server) is the easiest way (for the
    user); they can just mount a filesystem on their desktop. netatalk has
    the ability to do encrypted password transactions, using a separate
    password database on the server.

    NiftyTelnet SSH has a decent SCP interface, but it's probably beyond
    most Mac users.

    You can set up FTP tunnelling with the 1.0 version of the F/Secure SSH
    client, which is annoying but functional.
