UC Berkeley's Chief Information Officer presents:

"The Future of Research & Education Networking in California: the
Next-Generation CalREN High Performance Research Network and
implications for the Berkeley Campus. Or, The Return of
Circuit-Switched Networking and how you might benefit from it."

Cliff Frost and Ken Lindahl will reprise their presentations made to the
UC Information Technology Leadership Council (ITLC) at UCSF in September
2007 (http://www.ucop.edu/irc/itlc/meetings/sep07pres.html).

    * Ken will discuss the High Performance Research (HPR) Technical
Advisory Council's plans for the CalREN-HPR Network Refresh.

    * Cliff will talk about the Communication Planning Group's (CPG) work
outlining the costs of future campus network upgrades.
