View problem with Grad Division GRE report

We installed new iMacs with OS X 10.4.x in our Admissions office and
discovered that they now can not read the GRE date on the form
displaying the GRE record from the Grad Admissions site; the field is
not wide enough to display the mm/dd/yyyy-formatted date (the last
two digits are cut off).

This app seems to be using Oracle forms/Java and doesn't allow us to
enter any results field and move around or copy and paste. It worked
fine last year with their eMacs and OS X 10.3 (and the older machines
still display the date fine, albeit tiny--looks like the form was
meant for a 640x480 screen).

We're using Safari 2.x; Firefox and Navigator display the form, but
the search button doesn't seem to do anything.

Has anybody run into the same problem? Do we need to replace a font
(changing the browser default doesn't help), or set a preference?

Thanks for any tips.

Vic
