Dana,

I had the same thing happen with a 10.4 server. It turned out to be the Tivoli log file growing out of control. Check your aging configuration. That's a likely source of the problem.

 I would probably use Terminal and the "find" utility. Logged in as root or using sudo, issue the command "find / -size +1000000000c -ls" -- that will locate everything on the disk over a gigabyte or so.
