'storing bookmarks remotely' question

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to move the Safari bookmarks to a server (in
order to eliminate the need to do Retrospect backups)? I have tried
putting an alias in the Safari folder and moving the bookmarks.plist
onto the server, but Safari simply created a new bookmarks.plist
document in the Library folder. I am on OS 10.4.9.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Kristina
