This morning in Steve Jobs' keynote speech at WWDC, Apple's annual
conference for developers, there were three announcements of note:

   - Apple's next version of Mac OS X, Leopard (scheduled for release in
October 2007), includes a number of new features, including a few
     not shown publicly before today.

Many of these are focused on improvements to the Finder, Mac OS X's
     desktop interface.

   - Apple's iPhone (scheduled to ship June 29), will allow developers
to build custom applications that will run within the Safari web
browser on the phone. These applications can be created using
     standard Ajax techniques.

   - The next version of Safari, 3.0, will be available for Windows
Vista and XP, as well as for Mac OS X.

Among other things, this will provide Windows users with an
iPhone development platform. Currently, Apple plans to bundle
Safari with downloads of iTunes for Windows.
