Stardust on Apple page
Another Berkeley success story on Apple's website went up last week:
In the summer of 2006, over 20,000 amateur scientists first logged
onto a “virtual microscope” made available via the web, and began
searching for contemporary interstellar dust grains for UC Berkeley's
Stardust_at_Home project. Now, Macintosh computers ensure 24-hour-a-day,
7-day-a-week availability of the microscope, and control the
equipment that safely extracts the tiny particles. Check out the
