The Scholar's Workstation is Moving!

After 16 years in University Hall, TSW will be moving to Hearst Field
Annex, Building D. (Bounded by Sproul Hall, Barrows Hall, Hearst Gym

The move is expected to occur during the 2007 Spring Break week,
March 23-30. See below for directions and a map to the new site.

Why We Are Moving

The move is necessary to support the heightened need for academic
space on and around campus, and will serve as a temporary location
for the newly formed Technology Acquisition and Sales Division of
Information Services and Technology.

We are excited at the prospect of continuing to support the
information technology mission of Cal and help drive technology
standards.

Which Units Are Moving to Hearst Field Annex?

• The Scholar’s Workstation Computer Store & Will Call (move from 41
& 12 University Hall)
• Cellular Devices and Services (move from 2484 Shattuck)
• Computer Repair and Support (move from 50 University Hall)

During our stay in this temporary location, we will evaluate our
business operations and service delivery model as it relates to the
overall campus technology needs and services for students, faculty,
staff and departments. A search for a long-term space will commence
immediately after the move.
Order and Delivery Transition (March 5 – 31)

In preparation for the move, there will be an order and inventory
transition period during the three weeks leading up to the actual
move dates.

Please watch our website for changes and updates relevant to ordering
items on the web, buying in store, and delivery estimates. We will
do our best to keep you informed every step of the way, and ask for
your patience during this transition. As always, let us know if you
have special needs or concerns during this period of time.
Closing Dates

We will be closed March 23-30 for the move.

Reopening Date

At this time, we anticipate getting up and running during the first
week in April, with only slight deviation in business until we regain
full service.
