I'd like to particularly recommend Mike and the staff there at campus
computer repair for Apple work. They do all of the interfacing with
Apple, when necessary, and make the whole process quick and easy for
the rest of us. Drop off the machine, explain the problem, and magic
happens. No dialing 800 numbers, explaining "yes, I plugged it in," or
any of that business.
