I believe that OSX on the beige machines requires that the drive have
its first partition be no larger than 8GB. You'll need to partition
that larger drive before you have a chance.

While earlier version of X (10.0, 10.1 at least) would install directly
onto beige machines, 10.3.x is not supported by Apple. You'd need to
do a work-around, such as...

Glenn, you probably want to stay away from 10.0.x and 10.1.x, and think
of 10.2 as your bare minimum for most uses. Also, your 192MB of
physical RAM is pretty sparse. Do we see a Mac mini in your future?
