Go ahead, burst his bubble! I'm sorry I haven't come across anything useful. However, unfortunately, these adapters won't work - they are not capable of converting the analog signal from the Sony to the digital signal required for the Apple displays.

All I can suggest is to get a suitable display that supports both analog and digital DVI inputs...for use when he eventually gets a DVI-equipped Mac.
