First, make sure you've completed the full set of steps for
enabling SSL/TLS encryption when checking and sending mail for Eudora
for Mac OS 9, including the "Create a Keychain" and the "Additional
Steps After Enabling Encryption" sections in the relevant CalMail
Knowledge Base article:
