S-L-O-W Safari Launching

Hello-

My coworker is experiencing extreme slowness when launching Safari
(v. 1.2.4). It takes just under ONE MINUTE from clicking the icon on
the Dock to displaying the home page. She doesn't have this problem
with other applications (including IE), which launch quickly, as
expected. She's running OS 10.3.6 on a Dual 1.8 GHz G5 with 512MB of
RAM. Any ideas as to what might be going on?
