When I have something I don't want to forget (but don't want to put
into my calendar program), I use this nice, free utility, EggTimer:

    EggTimer 3.1.5 - VersionTracker

You can save reminders for recurring things, repeat reminders, etc.
Choose "EggTimer Help" from the Help menu for more info...

If this one doesn't suit you, there are quite a few similar programs
to choose from out there -- try searching for "remind" or "timer" on
VersionTracker:
