My G4 iBook w/ Airport Extreme always connects to AirBears just fine
here in McLaughlin Hall. (It happens to have a non-production
prototype card, but I don't suppose that would matter too much.)

I've seen three brand-new aluminum Powerbooks connect just fine to
AirBears in McLaughlin over the past week or so.
