Yes - This is IT. Hey Everybody... IT WORKS.

Thanks so much, Anthony. I'm sure others might find it useful too.

The only other way I found to switch printers by AppleScript is to
use the "Location Manager" which is slow and always brings up a
dialog box which must be dismissed manually (or via Okey Dokey).
