Microsoft Word X

Hello,
I recently installed Microsoft Office X on a 1.6GHz G5 running
Panther version 10.3.3.
I had not yet read the bulletin on Mactopia regarding the removal of
office version X
Test Drive prior to installing Office X.

After installing Office X, I opened each application in the suite.
Each application
opened fine. Then I went back to open a Word document created in
Office 98 and Word
crashed. I could no longer open Word. I went back and removed
everything I could find
about Office X, not Office X Test Drive. Then I removed Office X
Test Drive as recommended
in the bulletin. That worked fine. I reinstalled Office X and tried
to open the Word document
created in Word 98 and crashed again. Can you be of any assistance to me?
