I've pretty much ditched the Adobe reader entirely in favor
of 10.3's Preview.

I also recommend the simple & sweet PDF Browser Plugin:

        http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/

I have nothing against the Adobe software that does these
things -- it's just that Preview and this plugin together make for
nice, simple, quick, and uncluttered PDF handling that takes care of
99% of my PDF-viewing needs.
