Don,

   I just performed an upgrade on a "Tangerine Clamshell" iBook. I had to
upgrade the hard drive and increase the memory to the max. Also, there is a
firmware update you have to do as well. Contact Hardware support for
details. By the way, this iBook uses the old style "hex" type screws and I
believe they need the proprietary Apple hex tool.
