OSX.2.8: Eudora 5.2 crashes

Hi All,
Bear with me as this is a bit complex:
Scenario:
hard drive on G4 quicksilver died; hard drive replaced; using Dantz
Retrospect, contents of former drive replaced on new drive using
Restore Entire Disk function. Everything seems to be working fine
except Eudora:
When opening certain messages from different Mailboxes, "Application
Unexpectedly Quits"
When trying to attach a document either by dragging the document to
the message or by selecting Attach document, "Application
Unexpectedly quits"

(user copied his Eudora folder to another computer running OS9.2.2,
then copied the folder back to the computer running OSX which is when
the problems began)

I've tried everything i could think of including trashing anything
having to do with Eudora and reinstalling. I'm about to start from
scratch by Restoring an Entire Disk again using a backup from the
date on which we know Eudora worked fine.

Am I missing something here? Are there files hiding somewhere that
should be trashed as well?
HELP!
